A deficiency in the Mineral Copper and the Amino Acid Tyrosine is the cause of gray hair. It is NOT due to aging, stress, nor is it genetic. Copper and Tyrosine are necessary for the formation of melanin, which is the pigment that colors our hair and skin. If you run out of copper and/or Tyrosine, your body cannot produce melanin, and you hair turns gray or white.
